Update: Spent 12 hours of yesterday writing one page of a paper. I seem to be lacking the somewhat foreign skill called “focus”. This has left me twelve hours behind schedule. I’d rather sing a song about the independence and soul of Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt. I’d rather write a short film AND film it. I love you writing, but today I can’t stop listening to Johnny Coltrane, and I am riding away on the Blue Train losing myself in his saxophone sounds. My mind wants to float away to wherever this jazz wants to take me.
